CW PROFIENCY PROGRAMS FOR CONTESTERS AND DXERS
PED 5.19 by JE3MAS -- This program is great for contest- or DXpedition preparation. It simulates contest operation under nearly realistic conditions. You can add pile-up from 1 to 18 stations calling you simultaneously, QRM and static noise with adjustable S/N ratio. You can type the copied call signs on the keyboard, but you even can connect a keyer to your computer's parallel port in order to get the most realistic feeling. At the same time, the program is a trainer for the CT contestlog software. (DOS; works without problems under Windows 3.1/95/98; soundcard required for more than one sound at a time or QRM simulation).
RUFZ Popular program for call sign training. No QRM or pile-up simulation, but highly
precise timing. Internet high score page available. (DOS only; under Windows, you must switch to DOS mode, or the program will refuse to work).
